School Music

All children deserve an opportunity to discover and develop the wonderful gift of music that God has given to us. In addition to our music education classes, several music ensembles are part of the curriculum, and all students are encouraged to participate in them.

The ensembles of St. Luke educate students on the importance of learning, teaching and leadership

Learning takes place in the classroom as they are first introduced to the basics of music and then to more advanced ideas such as performing complex rhythms, interpreting harmonies and musical styles.  They also continue to learn about their Lord who loves them so much.  Everything that we do is done to praise God for what he has done for us.

Our ensemble members serve as teachers for our congregation and audiences.  We demonstrate good posture, participation, and behavior in our concerts and in our worship services.

Our ensemble members are finally leaders as they are lead among their peers, they provide leadership for the congregation in song, and they show leadership by their hardwork during rehearsal.

Students, you are to be commended for being in this important, valuable, and enjoyable role in our church and school. It is something you will never outgrow

Parents, you are to be praised for being examples to your children by encouraging them in their service, as well as teaching them the faith in Word and song at home.  I am looking forward to a great school year ahead!
