The purpose of St.Luke Lutheran School is to assist the parents in the training of the "whole" child, which includes the spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, social, and aesthetic needs and to teach all academic subjects with a Christian interpretation and within a Christian framework. We rely on our Lord's promise as found in Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

St.Luke Lutheran School attempts to develop in its students such knowledge, skills, and attitudes as are necessary to the building of a life dedicated to the service of God and man.

Our Lord's final instructions to His disciples in the last chapter of the Gospel of Matthew were: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)

The school seeks to train the child by means of God's Law and Gospel and by means of man's best reason, which is in harmony with and illuminated by the Holy Scripture. The school seeks to teach students daily that God is the Creator and Preserver of the world, that all men are sinners in need of a Savior, that man is regenerated by the Holy Ghost through Baptism and the Word, and becomes a child of God through faith in his Savior. This faith then manifests itself in each student's daily life. This ultimately leads to eternal salvation in Heaven.
